Jesus from CA Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

What accommodations are there for people who are injured? Just got out of the military and plan on going to Disney for the first time. i'm unable to stand for long periods of time. is there a way to wait with my younger brothers without being in line?

    Hi there Jesus,

Thank you for taking the time to write us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. First off, I want to thank you for service. I hope you are having a Disney day.

First visits to The Happiest Place on Earth are the best! Be sure to stop by Guest Services and get your family free "First Visit" buttons to wear during your vacation; Cast Members that see y'all in the parks will be sure to send warm wishes throughout your visit.

I recommend you take a look at the Disability Access Service (DAS) Card to see if that would be beneficial for you. You can visit the main entrance Guest Relations to discuss your concerns with a Cast Member.

With the Disability Access Service Card, you will go to one of the multiple Guest Relations kiosks throughout the park and inform the Cast Member about which attraction you would like to visit. The Cast Member will fill out your Disability Access Service Card with the name of the attraction and a Return Time. ANY time after the assigned Return Time, you can see a Cast Member at the entrance of the requested attraction to enter through the FASTPASS or alternate entrance as directed. The Disability Access Service Card is not the same as a FASTPASS in that there is not a window Return Time. You can only access one Disability Access Service Card Return Time for one attraction at a time.

I hope this helps and that you enjoy the magic of Disney. If you have any more questions, please write me back on how I can help you plan your pixie dusted vacation.

    Wishing you a Dapper time!
