Hello again, Chelsea!
Thanks for bringing another
Disneyland Resort question here to
planDisney. It’s a great idea to be aware of all the
services and strategies at your disposal to help your family have a magical visit to the Happiest Place on Earth!
The Disability Access Service (DAS) system is in place for Guests who aren’t able to wait in a traditional standby queue due to a physical or cognitive disability. It allows them and their party (up to 6 people total, including the person needing DAS) to receive a return time for
attractions based on the current wait time. Each person’s accommodations are considered on an individual basis, so please visit City Hall in
Disneyland Park or the Chamber of Commerce in
Disney California Adventure Park to speak to a Guest Relations Cast Member about your child’s specific needs. They must be with you when the request is made, and be sure to have your valid theme park tickets and a photo ID handy as well.
There are also a few quieter locations to regroup away from the hustle and bustle of the parks that I like to escape to when my own kids become overwhelmed by crowds and noise or just need a bit of downtime, like the First Aid stations in both theme parks. To find the break area nearest you, simply ask a Cast Member. I hope this helps you plan, Chelsea. Please come back and ask us any other specific questions you might have. I hope your vacation is pixie-dusted to perfection!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
