Hello, are there any accommodations for my child with type one diabetes?

    Hiya, Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for stopping by on your way to visiting The Happiest Place on Earth!

I am so grateful for the personalized support and accommodations the Disneyland Resort and other Disney Parks have been able to provide for my family, including some family members with disabilities. Because accommodations are based on individual needs and circumstances, I will go over some general possibilities. To review specific needs, you may reach out to Disneyland Resort Disability Services, visit the Accessibility Services Kiosk between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park, or visit Guest Relations at City Hall or Chamber of Commerce.

In the meantime, here is some information about a few accommodations.

    1. Browse the Accessibility Planning Guide & Recommendations online booklet. I find the first few sections particularly helpful for learning helpful tips and strategies for smooth and magical times at the Disneyland Resort. Be sure to review the "Need A Break Locations" section to discover quiet places that may come in handy for a quick recharge or maybe to check up on blood sugar levels.
    2. Check out special accommodations for accessing attraction queues. Options like Attraction Queue Re-Entry, Attraction Queue Meet-Up, or Rider Switch may come in handy when a member of your party needs some time outside the queue while your party waits for an attraction.
    3. As a parent, I recognize how critical it can be to be aware of where the most convenient restrooms are located. It's always good to be prepared for an urgent situation!

I hope that gives some ideas of how you can plan for the most magical days possible while enjoying the Disneyland Resort. If you have any more specific questions or desire additional parent-to-parent advice from someone who's been there and done that before, please don't hesitate to visit us at planDisney again.

    Have a great time, Jennifer!
