Hi Brandi! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question!
Oh boy! A trip around the holidays to the
Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect time to visit! Although you'll be arriving days after the Christmas holiday, you'll still find all of the decorations and displays around the parks and resorts! My family had the pleasure of visiting last year during this time and we had a magical time!
It may not seem like it, but when your little ones make the jump into double digits, they are now considered Disney adults. This means Guests ages 10 years and older are required to
purchase a differently priced ticket than the one offered to Guests between the ages of 3-9. The park ticket should coincide with the age of the Guest at the time of travel, not their age when purchasing the ticket.
Brandi, this is an easy fix and one that you may be able to handle yourself by logging into your
My Disney Experience account. Once logged in, scroll down to "Plans, Reservations, and Tickets" and select "Tickets & Memory Maker". Scroll down until you see your soon to be 10 year old's name and the ticket associated with them. If there is a modify option to the right, click on this and follow the prompts to upgrade the ticket. If this is not an option, your best bet will be to
call the Existing Tickets Line. You'll be able to speak to a Cast Member who can make this change for you over the phone. There will be an increased price, so have a payment method handy before making the call.
I'm excited about all of the magical memories you are bound to make, Brandi! You'll be arriving in plenty of time to not only view all the amazing decorations, but you get a chance to celebrate the
Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration while you are there!
See ya real soon!
