I accidentally threw away my husband's Magic Band from our trip last summer. Is it possible to transfer another family member's Magic Band (who is not coming with us this time) to his name so that we can avoid purchasing a new one?

    Howdy, Katie!

Oh, no! Darn that stinks! I once gave away my favorite flip-flops in an old suitcase though, so I totally understand. Unfortunately, once a MagicBand is linked to a Guest in My Disney Experience, it is non-transferable. I'm assuming you won't be staying at a Disney Resort Hotel during this visit to get a new one, but while convenient, they aren't completely necessary. Your theme park admission tickets will also work for FastPass+ selection access and to save PhotoPass photos to your My Disney Experience account.

If like me, a MagicBand is the perfect accessory to your Walt Disney World Resort vacation, you will indeed need to purchase a new one for your hubby. You can purchase a new one on the Disney Store's website for not too many Disney dollars.

Let us know if there is anything else we are able to assist with, Katie!

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family: graduations, pregnancies, birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, reunions, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon. I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help add a little extra Pixie Dust to your next magical adventure. Learn More About Lauren
