Hiya Nancy,
Welcome back to planDisney; we are happy that you are here. I’m so sorry to hEAR that you accidentally purchased
Memory Maker, but as Judy Hopps says, “Life’s a little messy. We all make mistakes.”
If you purchased Memory Maker as a part of a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package, you may be able to request a refund per the Vacation Package cancellation policies. However, if you purchased Memory Maker separate from a Vacation Package, your purchase is non-refundable and non-transferrable. That being said, I’ve seen magic be made by Cast Members before. I highly suggest reaching out to Cast Members at (407)-560-4300 for assistance with this issue. There are no guarantees, but I believe that it never hurts to ask.
If you are unable to secure a refund for Memory Maker, then call it a happy accident. My family and I rarely take advantage of all of the Disney PhotoPass opportunities, but on our last trip, we purchased Memory Maker because we were doing a
Capture Your Moment experience (it was spectacular by the way). We issued each other a challenge that we would take every photo we could to take advantage of the purchase fully. The best thing that we did was create a competition to see who could have the best attraction photo. It was so much fun trying to out “perform” the other on Haunted Mansion or make the other laugh the hardest. We had a blast and now have so many memories from our trip. Our trip scrapbook is now full of the silliest photos you’ve ever seen.
I’m sorry I couldn’t help you cancel Memory Maker Nancy, but hopefully, after talking to a Cast Member, you will be able to get it resolved. If not, give my PhotoPass challenge a try. With so many incredible new
Disney PhotoPass opportunities throughout the Theme Parks and Resort Hotels, you will have no shortage of opportunities to capture incredible vacation memories.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
