Hi there, Cheryl!
I can see that you are making some happily haunted plans for a visit to the Disneyland Resort this fall! It is one of the most festive times of the year to be in the parks—you will love the seasonal decor, treats, sweets, and seeing Mickey and Minnie and pals in their Halloween best!
The
Oogie Boogie Bash at California Adventure is one of the highlights of the season, and I'm so sorry to hear that the date you booked doesn't work with your schedule. Unfortunately, the Oogie Boogie Bash is a special event ticket and is not changeable or refundable. I wish I had better news for you! You are able to gift the tickets to friends and family in the event you find a party that may have tickets for another date and can swap with you. I know that's not ideal, but just a thought! You would simply share the ticket confirmation numbers and link them to your own account.
I do hope you are able to make it to the party! With your party ticket, you can enter California Adventure as early as 3:00 PM to enjoy the park ahead of the 6:00 PM party start time. I would use this time to ride your favorite attractions, especially those decked out for the holiday like
Guardians of the Galaxy - Monsters After Dark!,
Mater's Graveyard JamBOOree, and
Luigi's Honkin' Haul-O-Ween! Once the party starts, you'll want to take advantage of all the limited-time Oogie Boogie activities like the
trick-or-treat trails, Villain's Grove, and, of course, grabbing a spot for the
Frightfully Fun Parade.
If you are able to make it, I recommend taking a peek at the
Costume Guidelines for both adults and kiddos. These are a bit expanded from the standard costume guidelines for a regular day in the parks, but there are some restrictions to be aware of.
Cheryl, I know this was likely not the news you were hoping to hear, but I do hope it's helpful in your planning! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at
planDisney.
Happy haunting!
Tara
