Hello, Joelle!
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I'm excited you have a Walt Disney World Resort visit on the very near horizon, and it's great to hear you've already purchased
Memory Maker for all your magical vacation photos.
As you've seen, purchasing Memory Maker at least 3 days ahead of your trip's start date comes with some magical savings. This product includes downloads of photos and videos within a 30-day window once activated, but photos captured within 3 days of purchase must be purchased separately. I understand that you may have miscalculated the waiting period and are worried you'll miss out on images from your trip.
While the purchase of Memory Maker is non-refundable, my panel pal
Kristi helped a guest in a similar situation a few years back. She recommended reaching out to
Disney PhotoPass Support by phone to explain the error and inquire about paying the difference for standard Memory Maker (which doesn't have a 3-day waiting period for activation). If you are already on-site, you can also swing by
Guest Relations to see if they can help correct the issue. Though I can't guarantee changes can be made now that you've already purchased, I'm crossing my fingers you'll experience a little magic. A little faith, trust, and pixie dust can go a long way!
If you discover changes can't be made, I do have a few suggestions. Photos captured within the 3-day waiting period will still be available to view, purchase, and download in your
Photo Gallery à la carte, so you won't have to worry about losing any of those special memories. You also have the option to purchase Memory Maker One Day, which will include downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass media from 6:00 am EST on the date of activation through 5:59 am EST the following day. You can purchase this in advance, during, or even after your trip, and
complete the activation process as explained here. This might be a good option if you're just shy of your advance purchase activation window.
Your existing purchase will also need to be activated, so you can always keep that linked to your account for a future visit and purchase the correct Memory Maker product for your current trip. However, I recommend waiting until you've had a chance to speak with a Cast Member to avoid any unnecessary duplicate purchases.
I hope this helps, Joelle! If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to come back and let us know.
Magic and memories,
Amy
