I accidentally purchased a child ticket so I need to upgrade it to an adult ticket. I already made a reservation with the ticket. I know I can do this at the ticket booth but will the upgrade cancel my reservation?

Hi again, Melanie. Welcome back to planDisney with another great question for us! We love helping us plan their unforgettable Disney vacation.

I’m delighted to see that your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth is coming up soon. I bet you’re excited and happily counting down the days before you get to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A.!

Since you’ve already made a theme park reservation for your visit, I suggest keeping your current ticket as it is for now. You’ll lose your spot if you cancel or try to modify your ticket. When you arrive at the Disneyland Resort Main Entrance, just head to one of the ticket booths to upgrade the child ticket to an adult ticket by paying the difference. Simply explain the situation to a friendly Cast Member, who will gladly assist you, without you losing the park reservation you’ve already made. Soon, you’ll be on your way to experience the Disney magic!

I wish you a very merry time at the Happiest Place on Earth during “Holidays at the Disneyland Resort”. If you have more questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again. We’re all EARS!

    See ya real soon,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
