Hey there, Juliemarr!
Welcome to planDisney, and thank you for bringing us your question! It's exciting to hear you're planning a visit to "The Happiest Place on Earth." There's so much magic to enjoy.
One important note to keep in mind is that tickets for the
Disneyland Resort theme parks are
nonrefundable. It's possible that you have some options for using the tickets before they expire or perhaps applying the amount you paid for your tickets towards
purchasing new tickets for a future visit. My suggestion is to
give a call to the Disneyland Resort ticket services team at (714) 781-4636. The tickets team can give you great guidance on how best to make use of the tickets you purchased.
One additional note I want to share is that there is a difference between purchasing tickets for the theme parks and making reservations to visit the theme parks. If you're planning to take in all the magic of
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park, you will need two things: a valid ticket that you purchase for theme park admission, and a valid theme park reservation that you make through the
Theme Park Reservations system.
What I am wondering is this -- is it possible that the reference you saw for Disney California Adventure Park while expecting to see Disneyland Park was a reference to theme park reservations? Have you had an opportunity to check out the
Theme Park Reservation Availability calendar to look for dates when Disneyland Park has reservations available? If so, are you able to make a reservation to visit Disneyland Park?
Juliemarr, I'm hopeful that you'll be able to spend time enjoying all the magic of Disneyland Park real soon.
Until then, here's wishing you lots of Disney magic in your day today!
Jerry
