Welcome to planDisney! Oh my! You are in a pickle and I am sorry that this happened. A
MagicBand+ is one of my favorite accessories and I sometimes find myself hating not being able to use them every day. I would love to open my home door by tapping inside.
Now, unfortunately, once a MagicBand+ is linked to a
MyDisney account,
it cannot be assigned to someone else. There are entitlements and information linked to the band that make it too complicated to detach from a person. However, I have spoken with a very informative Cast Member at
My Disney Experience, MagicBand and MagicBand+ who said there is a chance if the band has not been used yet and it was an accidental assignment they might be able to fix your issue. This is not guaranteed but I suggest giving them a call and letting them try.
If for some reason you now have a person "stuck" with two bands know that they can use both bands interchangeably for their trip. I have more than one band and like to match them to my outfits or plans for the day. If you are still looking to have a way to get into the Parks you have a few options using
Disney MagicMobile. Disney MagicMobile allows you to download a digital ticket to your smartphone's digital wallet and it can be used to enter the Parks, check into Lightning Lane entrances, and even charge food and merchandise to your Disney Resort hotel room. It's just as effective as the MagicBand+ but it is definitely not waterproof as your smartphone would not appreciate a dunk into the Resort pool. Another option is to get a ticket card from any ticket booth in front of the Parks or the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs. They are free, come in cute designs, and fit easily in your wallet.
