Hello, Matthew, and welcome to planDisney.
I’m sorry to hear that you accidentally linked a MagicBand to the wrong Guest. Unfortunately, once a MagicBand has been linked,
it cannot be transferred or relinked to a different Guest. However, other options are available to use while visiting the theme parks.
The first option is creating a
Disney MagicMobile pass for the Guest who does not have a MagicBand. They will then be able to store this pass in their digital wallet on their phone while visiting. My husband used this option the last two days of our visit after his MagicBand fell into Bay Lake during our
Fishing Excursion. While we were sad to see the MagicBand sink into the water, we were thankful to have this convenient option available. And while his ticket was no longer accessible in a cute accessory on his wrist, it was conveniently stored in his pocket.
Another option you have is to stop by a ticket window once you arrive. There, you can pick up a plastic ticket card for the Guest to use throughout their visit. Tip: Store it in a safe place so it doesn’t get lost. Of course, you always have the option to purchase an additional MagicBand if you would rather use that. I like to look at the options on the
Disney Store website and purchase them when I see a sale going on. With kids, you can never have too many. Plus, MagicBands can be used
interchangeably, so you are free to coordinate your MagicBand with your outfit or the theme park you’ll be visiting that day. It’s just another fun perk!
Matthew, I hope this has helped answer your question. If there’s anything else we can help with, you know where to find us!
Enjoy your visit,
Shantel
