Hi Mandy, welcome to planDisney!
Your My Disney Experience account is the digital hub that houses all of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation entitlements. It can even house your theme park tickets, Disney Resort hotel reservations, etc. for multiple trips at once. It sounds like you have a lot of magic stored in your My Disney Experience account, Mandy. Let's see if we can untangle your Stitch-uation together.
Memory Maker is my favorite souvenir because it includes all Disney PhotoPass images captured on select attractions and by Disney PhotoPass photographers throughout our park day. The Magic Shots alone make it a wise investment for me on each trip. I won't capture a picture of my daughter holding Tinkerbell or my family getting carried away by Mickey balloons on Main Street, U.S.A., anywhere else.
When you purchase Memory Maker
online, an entitlement sits in your
My Disney Experience account until activated. There's an important difference between
linking a Memory Maker purchase to your My Disney Experience account and activating a Memory Maker entitlement. Linking Memory Maker connects it to your My Disney Experience account without allowing you to view/download any photos. Activation, on the other hand, is when the expiration countdown clock begins. One Memory Maker purchase includes all media captured within 30 days of activation. You know you've successfully activated a Memory Maker entitlement when the watermarks on your Disney PhotoPass images disappear.
A Memory Maker entitlement is not tied to a specific vacation and can be activated at any time. If you think you activated the "wrong" entitlement but still have an inactivated one sitting in the
Tickets, Passes, & Memory Maker tab of your My Disney Experience account, you'll have no problem activating the other Memory Maker purchase in October.
If you think you may have accidentally activated two Memory Maker entitlements at the same time, Mandy, that's a problem because both Memory Makers will expire before your October trip. In that case, my best tip is to contact a helpful Cast Member at the
My Disney Experience, MagicBand, and MagicBand+ number between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. EST. With your permission, they'll lay eyes on your My Disney Experience account and make every effort to channel Rapunzel's Sundrop Flower and save what has been lost.
I hope this information helps you save all of your precious Disney PhotoPass memories. Please return to planDisney with any other trip-planning questions.
Choose magic,
Jennifer
