Chiara, I love that you're using the
MagicBand+ for your Disney World vacation. My kids absolutely love using theirs to enter the theme parks, tap into
Lightning Lanes, and unlock our hotel room door. I also know how attached they get to their specific designs and characters, so I understand that it's a
very big deal to have a kid assigned to the wrong one.
Unfortunately, I have some less-than-incredible news to share. Once a band has been assigned to a
MyDisney account, it cannot be reassigned to another person. I know this is a bummer, but as Edna Mode would say, "Never look back, darling! It distracts from the now!" So in the spirit of moving forward, let's take a look at your options.
First, I highly suggest calling the
My Disney Experience and Magic Bands line to speak with a Disney Cast Member. While the MagicBand+ is generally considered non-transferable, a Cast Member
may be able to work a bit of magic to help you get on your way.
Now, if that's not an option, the good news is that you can buy a new MagicBand+ for your tiny superhero at various retail locations inside the theme parks and at
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. In my experience, you can find a pretty good selection throughout the resort, so you're sure to find one that makes your Mouseketeer smile! If you do purchase a new MagicBand+, make sure to charge it before use and pair it with your
My Disney Experience app to enjoy all the band's features.
