Greetings and welcome to
planDisney, Sara, thank you for your excellent question!
Are you excited? You’re going to Walt Disney World Resort very soon! In preparation for your visit, please refer to Walt Disney World Resort's
Services for Guests with Disabilities, in which you will find many useful accommodations for your mobility needs.
The
Disney Skyliner gondola service is nothing short of outstanding, and you will be pleased to know that there are accessible accommodations for Guests who need ECVs and wheelchairs. At each Disney Skyliner station, you will see a dedicated accessible boarding zone where the gondola will come to a complete stop to enable you to navigate your ECV on the gondola. The gondola in size offers a 30” x 48” surface area which should accommodate your ECV and up to 6-Guests. When you have safely boarded inside and are settled, your gondola will slowly join the line with the other gondolas. Cast Members will be present to offer any assistance necessary. As well, at all the Disney Skyliner stations you will find accessible restrooms for your convenience. It’s such a scenic and lovely ride and I love the views of
Disney's Riviera Resort, with birds-eye views of the newly expanded France Pavilion. We loved riding the Disney Skyliner because to us it felt like an attraction all on its own.
In preparation for your visit, please ensure you have made your
Disney Park Pass - Theme Park Reservations, and you may also wish to explore the new theme park ticket option called, the
Disney Genie+ Lightning Lane service found in the My Disney Experience app. This service, for a nominal fee per person, per day will enable you to select an arrival window for attractions that offer Lightning Lane entrances, thereby saving you time waiting in lines.
I hope you enjoy your visit to Walt Disney World Resort to enjoy the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival and
Walt Disney World Resort's 50th Anniversary Celebration!
Best Disney Wishes ~ Jacqueline
