Is the access Main Street at the Magic Kingdom one hour before the park opens available to all guests or do you need to be staying at a Disney Hotel to gain access? Also, what time does the car park open please?

    Hello Rebecca!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We are glad to assist you plan magical memories at the Walt Disney World Resort.

I am an early riser and love to be at the theme parks very early in the morning, and my favorite park to “rope drop” is Magic Kingdom. I really enjoy walking down Main Street U.S.A. and getting a cup of coffee and a nice treat at Main Street Bakery.

All Guests are allowed to enter Magic Kingdom Park one hour before official park opening, but please note that you will only be able to access Main Street U.S.A and the hub in front of Cinderella Castle. All lands will be closed and are only open when the park opens, unless there are Extra Magic Hours. In this case, only Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels will be able enter the lands, and other Guests can still access Main Street U.S.A. up to Cinderella Castle.

In case you decide to arrive this early, remember that about 5 minutes before park opening you will be able to enjoy Let the Magic Begin. This is a great welcome show that takes place every morning right in front of Cinderella Castle, and where Mickey and friends come say good morning and officially start the day. The Magic Kingdom parking lot usually opens around two hours before park official opening.

Thank you for stopping by once again, Rebecca! I hope this helps you while planning. Please stop by real soon with more questions.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
