How do I access free WiFi at the resort?

    Hi Janine,

Welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you stopped by with your question about how to stay connected at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Free Wi-Fi is available for guests at Walt Disney World in the theme parks, in the resorts, at Disney Springs and even on some buses. You can always be connected if you choose. To connect, simply choose Disney Resort Guest from the Wi-Fi options on your phone, tablet or laptop. Once you are connected, you should have automatic Wi-Fi access throughout the Walt Disney World property, though you might sometimes have to reconnect when you make the transition from your resort to a park or Disney Springs.

The Wi-Fi connection is especially great to access the My Disney Experience Mobile App throughout the parks and resorts. My Disney Experience is your go-to portal for wait times, show times, your tickets and reservations, mobile food ordering, directions, transportation options and so much more.

I try to disconnect as much as possible when we are at Walt Disney World, but both my husband and I have needed to work from our resort on occasion, and access to the complimentary Wi-Fi has been a lifesaver then. And I'll admit that, before I retired, I did sometimes respond to emails from my phone while in a ride queue. But we all do what we need to do to be able to bask in as much magic as possible, right?

If you have any problems connecting, feel free to check with a Guest Experience Team cast member for assistance. (Look for the blue umbrellas throughout the theme parks). Stop by the front desk of your resort for help. Or call the special number for Wi-Fi assistance found here.

I hope that helps, Joanne. Please feel free to check back with us if any more questions arise as you make your plans.

    Enjoy,

    Wilma
