Welcome back, Linda! It's great to see you hEAR again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Linda, I'm so excited to see that you'll be heading to one of my favorite destinations,
Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort. When we visited last summer, my kids could not stop talking about how much they loved this property and I hope you have the same experience.
Linda, some of our favorite moments were spent on the beach or enjoying
Disney's Beach House, so I'm happy to talk with you about how to start your day with your toes in the sand. To your question, the quick answer is YES, you can access the beach to enjoy the gorgeous sunrise over the Atlantic! However, before you grab your sunglasses and head out, I'll offer up a few tips.
First, since the beach (and therefore beach access) is not adjacent to the resort, but a little over a mile from your Villa, you'll need to plan on how to arrive. While you could walk, you can also
rent a bike, drive or
take the complimentary shuttle from the resort. I would recommend checking the shuttle schedule at the front desk the night before as you may find that form of transportation doesn't begin early enough to catch the sunrise. My family and I drove our own car and found it very quick and easy. Just make sure to have your room card handy as you will need to show it to the parking attendant to gain access to the parking lot.
Next, while you can access the beach, Disney's Beach House hours may NOT align with your early morning arrival. Typically the hours for Disney's Beach House are posted at the main resort and are available to check online.
Linda, I hope this helps as you are planning ahead for your upcoming vacation. There are few things as peaceful as starting your morning with a sunrise on the beach and I hope you are able to savor as many of these Magical moments as possible. If you have any other planning questions I hope you'll come back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Lauren
