Welcome to planDisney Christina!
We are so happy that you are here and planning a trip to Walt Disney World Resort. It is always a great time to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth, so I'm sure you will have an incredible time.
In order to purchase any Florida Resident Theme Park tickets or Annual Passes, you will need to provide an accepted form of proof of residency. The following count as accepted forms:
1. Valid Florida Driver's License with Florida address
2. Valid Florida state-issued ID card that has a Florida address
3. Valid Florida-based military ID
The great thing about these three forms of identification is that you don't have to be at Walt Disney World Resort to verify them. When you purchase your tickets, be sure to fill out the "Your Florida Resident Information" form online to verify residency. You can also do this through the
My Disney Experience mobile app under "Customize Your Tickets." This will save you time waiting in line for Guest Relations and give you back precious rope drop time.
If you don't have any of the above-listed forms of residency, you can provide additional residence documents. When I was in graduate school in Florida, I had not yet secured a Florida-issued identification card, and so I knew this list like the back of Mickey's hand.
Please see here for the list of additional forms of ID. At this time, you are not able to verify these documents online, so you will need to visit a Cast Member at a Guest Relations at any of the four Theme Parks or
Disney Springs. Although it may add some extra time to your trip, getting to shop and dine at Disney Springs is always value added in my book. You can verify your residency and then pop by
Gideon's Bakehouse for a cookie so yummy you will dream about it for days.
I hope this was helpful, Christina! If you need anything else, we are all EARs at planDisney and available to answer your planning questions.
Happy Planning!
