Hey there, Tracey! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
How exciting that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World in just a few days. The Most Magical Place on Earth has just a bit more pixie dust during the holiday season and I hope you love it. If you're planning to visit
Disney's Hollywood Studios, make sure to spend a little time wandering around and enjoying the vintage-style decorations. They are my favorite!
Now, in addition to enjoying holiday decorations, you may want
holiday-themed snacks or merchandise, so let's talk about accepted forms of payment. Cash (U.S. currency) is accepted all around Walt Disney World as are Disney Gift Cards! My family typically buys gift cards in the months leading up to our vacation so that by the time we arrive, we have "prepaid" for a majority of our dining and souvenirs.
Disney Gift Cards can be registered and combined up to $1,000 per card. Registering your cards also offers an added layer of protection in case one gets lost. In this situation, you could log into your account and transfer the balance to a new card. I also like to record the number on the back of my Disney Gift Card in the notes section of my smartphone so I can easily "cut and paste" when using the
Mobile Ordering feature through the My Disney Experience Mobile App. It makes ordering and picking up lunch (breakfast, dinner, or anything in between) quick and easy!
Tracey, I hope this helps as you are getting ready for your upcoming vacation. If you need any further assistance, please come on back to planDisney. My fellow panelists and I would be happy to see you again.
Lauren
