So I want to just be absolutely sure ...If I were to go into MGM myself while my family was back at the hotel sleeping or getting ready would I still be able to get them on my boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance? Or would we all need to be in the park

    Bright Suns, Marc!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! First, I'm giving you virtual high fives for continuing to use MGM to refer to Disney's Hollywood Studios. Second, it sounds like you're planning a visit Batuu in Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge. I'm glad to hear you plan to join the Resistance but I'm not sure when you are expecting to visit.

Currently, to join a Boarding Group for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance you must have entered Disney's Hollywood Studios. Everyone who wants to ride the attraction must be inside the park to join a boarding group. I would be happy to sleep a little later while my husband or one of our kids secure a boarding group but we will all have to be early risers until the policies change. I have already scheduled a nap in our plans!

Since I'm not sure when you plan to visit, I do want to ask you to check the Boarding Group policies and procedures again shortly before visiting. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is wildly popular and they are constantly evaluating the boarding group procedures. The process may change several times before you visit. I hope the attraction will eventually be added to the FastPass+ system but we don't know when or if that will happen.

Marc, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you'll let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions.
    Til the spire,
    Amy H.
