Going aboard Magic on Oct 4. My husband and I love races as 5k and others. Are any sports related activities on board? We will like to experience a 3k or other race on a cruise!! Thanks!!!!

    Ahoy, Marycelis

Great to have you back. I'm so happy to hear that fitness is in your mind. It's definitely something that's easily forgotten whenever you go on vacation. Sailing on the Disney Magic does pamper and spoil you in so many different ways - but you can surely still enjoy fitness-related activities that keep your heart pumping and you don't have to skip your usual workout routines.

The ship has a state of the art Fitness Center on deck 9 that offers sweeping views of the ocean. No other exercise facility can offer a more beautiful backdrop to your early morning workout. The Disney Magic also has a running track that goes all around the ship on Deck 4. I love getting my early morning cardio exercise by going around the ship a couple of times (OK, I run-walk-jog most of the time). The brisk morning breeze is so refreshing and really does help perk up your senses to get you ready for the day ahead. You'll likely want to go a around a few times, since the track is measured at about 1/3 of a mile all around. Don't forget to check out the Personal Navigator every night. The Spa & Fitness Center will usually have planned activities in the mornings to help guests get a good morning workout going.  Besides climbing up and down the stairs (and completely avoiding the elevators), you'll have a great time joining some of the exercise classes offered. Schedules and activities change a lot, but in the past, the Fitness team has offered group cycling classes, Morning stretches (Yoga or other), Mile group walks, and even a Mini Triathlon. They'll also offer various classes like Yoga, Stretch & Pilates classes.

Lots to do & so little time! Enjoy!  ~Dolly
