Hello there, Lauren!
It sounds like you will experience a Big Summer Blowout during your summer vacation aboard the Disney Dream. Especially since you’ll be visiting ports of call in Norway, which inspired Disney’s Frozen.
Lauren, I spoke with a friendly Cast Member, and unfortunately, there is no frozen-themed evening during your sailing. However, you will have a formal evening on night three and a semi-formal evening on night seven of your cruise. Typically, Frozen Night and Frozen character meet and greets are available on the Alaska itineraries but are not confirmed on any other itineraries. At the moment, the Frozen Deck Party is only available aboard select Disney Wonder and Disney Magic sailings. Make sure to check the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App once you get on the ship to see the latest schedule of events, activities, and entertainment.
Lauren, I hope you don’t feel like you are going Into the Unknown on this vacation. I highly recommend taking advantage of the online cruise check-in available beginning 30 days before your sailing at midnight EST. I suggest using the
Disney Cruise Line website to start the check-in process. You’ll want to have your party’s citizenship documentation, credit card information, and a JPEG photo with a plain background of each person in your party (Pro tip: Make sure the photo is from the shoulders up and doesn’t have any glasses or hats). Checking in when the online cruise check-in becomes available will help you get an earlier Port Arrival Time.
I love getting on the Disney Cruise ships as early as possible to take advantage of everything the ship offers. My family did this on a recent cruise, and we enjoyed a relaxing lunch before the ship set sail.
May the magic be with you!
Melanie
