Welcome, Jeintenna!
How wonderful, your
Walt Disney World Resort vacation is quickly approaching! I’m also very excited for this new live action film of Disney’s classic tale “The Little Mermaid” to come to theatres next weekend. I love that Disney continues to bring new approaches to our favorite stories, whether in the theme parks or in the films. There’s nothing like seeing a movie for the first time on the big screen and I’m happy to help you plan for a special viewing.
Your best bet for planning to see the new live action “The Little Mermaid” on Walt Disney World Resort property is at the
AMC® Disney Springs 24 Dine-In Theatre. This movie theatre is larger than life and offers a variety of options for viewing and dining. On the official AMC Theatres website, you can now purchase tickets in advance – the Disney Springs location is called
“AMC DINE-IN Disney Springs 24” when you search. There are many showings and options throughout opening weekend but I know this will be popular, so I recommend you purchase tickets now to reserve your seats in advance and prioritize a showtime in your family’s schedule.
You don’t have to swim too far to see this movie, and you can continue to feel immersed in the magic of the Walt Disney World Resort! If you are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel,
bus service is available to Disney Springs from your resort. If you happen to be staying at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa, or one of Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts, there is also a
relaxing boat option to take you to Disney Springs. You may also drive in your own vehicle (the Orange garage exits directly next to the AMC Theatre) or use a rideshare service to be dropped off at Disney Springs.
Ariel will be meeting guests at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney Presents just as she appears in the film, so keep an eye out on your
My Disney Experience App for meet times or ask a Cast Member in person next weekend for details. Ariel hasn’t announced exactly when she will be flippin’ her fins to stop by, but I hope it aligns with the film’s release and your special vacation!
I hope this helps you make plans to see this special film on your Disney vacation, Jeintenna. I can’t think of a more magical memory than seeing this groundbreaking film on a huge screen while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort! Be sure to stop by planDisney again with any additional questions you have as you finalize your trip.
Life is the bubbles!
