Hiya, Carlos!
Thank you so much for sending this
Disneyland Resort vacation planning question to us hEAR at planDisney!
This is a question after my own heart because I too have a lot of different kinds of gift cards. (Apparently I'm "hard to shop for.") Theoretically yes, you should be able to purchase your
Disneyland Resort Theme Park Admission Tickets with a co-branded credit card style gift card. (ex: American Express Gift Card, Visa Gift Card, etc.) This isn't an issue if you were to purchase your tickets in person. However, due to the need to also have a
Park Pass Reservation in addition to a purchased ticket for their planned Disney days, Guests are highly encouraged to try to get their tickets in advance as there isn't always park ticket or park pass availability same-day.
Another caveat is that
ticket transactions both online and in the
Disneyland Mobile App only allow for one method of payment to be used, so the amount on the gift card must be more than the purchase price of your desired ticket(s). One workaround I can think of is if you're purchasing multiple theme park tickets OR if you have multiple gift cards that you planned on using, is to break the purchase up into multiple transactions. (Ex: buy one admission ticket with one gift card, a second ticket with a second gift card or on your regular credit/debit card, etc.) Another workaround might be trying to purchase Disneyland Tickets from another reputable online retailer, like a travel agent or even Target.com, use your gift card there and then upload the tickets to your
My Disneyland Account.
Lastly, depending on how much is on your gift card, it might work out better to pay for your tickets with a regular credit or debit card now and then use your gift card on
dining,
theme park parking, and
souvenEARs while you're in the parks.
I hope that this helped to clEAR up your question, Carlos! Be sure to follow the
