    Are you able to upgrade your room? close to your arrival? and how can i contact the restaurants to be sure i can get food for my son w/ allergies.

    If you are looking to change the type of room you booked, I suggest making this change as soon as possible. Rooms are booked with very specific views, locations, and bed configurations, so you will want to reserve the exact room you are looking for. To make a change, have your reservation number handy and call (407)W-DISNEY to speak to a friendly cast member who will be happy to let you know what room types are available. Remember that an upgrade will most likely result in a price increase which will be detailed for you when you call.  The closer you get to your vacation dates, the harder it will be to make that upgrade.

    As far as food allergies go, rest assured that the chefs and restaurant staff at Walt Disney World take dietary restrictions very seriously. Let your server know of your son's allergies, and even ask to speak to the chef if that will ease your concerns. Food allergies should be addressed at all quick service and table service locations. Any specific questions you might have ahead of time can be emailed to special.diets@disneyworld.com. You can also make a note of the allergies when booking dining reservations whether online or by phone at (407)WDW-DINE.
