Hello, Irma, and welcome to planDisney!
I love staying onsite at a
Disney Resort Hotel and as a guest who has stayed at almost every resort at Walt Disney World, I'm thrilled to chat with you about your question. Each Disney Resort Hotel has its own perks and unique vibe.
Now, Irma, assuming there is availability at your desired new location, you can move your reservation to another resort. However, that does not necessarily mean you wouldn't have additional fees. If the new resort has a higher price per night, there will be a new balance on your account and if you'll be checking in within 30 days, that balance will need to be paid immediately in order to move your reservation. The
terms and conditions for 2023 also state that
"changes made 30 days or less prior to guest arrival are also subject to a change fee of $50 per package plus any change fees assessed by third party hotels or other suppliers."If you have booked a vacation package directly through the Walt Disney World website, you likely can modify your trip online as well. When you log into your
My Disney Experience account and view your plans, you should see a button to modify your trip. Irma, if you have booked through a travel agent, that person will need to modify your resort. Please also note that if you booked a
Special Offer, rooms associated with that offer may be no longer available, so if you don't see the "Modify" button, you may want to call and speak with a Cast Member who can view your account.
Irma, no matter where you decide to stay on your upcoming vacation, I'll be wishing on a star that it is filled with Magic. Please come on back to planDisney if you have any additional questions.
Lauren
