Hello, Danielle! I'm so happy you brought your question to us here at planDisney!
January is such a great time to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort. The weather is usually cooler and the crowds are usually a little bit lower during this time. More importantly, this is the time that the
EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is
usually taking place. This year, the festival took place from January 13, 2023, to February 20, 2023. Keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog for an announcement for 2024 dates. I got to experience this festival for the first time this year and it was so very unique. I loved all the Food Studios, the
Disney on Broadway Concert Series, and the general celebration of the arts throughout the park! Feel free to reach out to my friend
Prince for specific questions about this festival and be sure to check out the
planDisney Podcast Guide to EPCOT International Festival of the Arts!
At this time, 2024 dates have not yet been released. These dates are
usually released in late spring/early summer...which is right around the corner! Once again, this is something I would look out for on the
Disney Parks Blog. This way, when it's announced that 2024 dates are on sale, you can pounce on it like one of
The Aristocats!
My biggest suggestion of what to do while you wait is to sit down with your travel party and decide what each person's priority experiences would be for the best trip ever. There is so much to do at the resort, what does everyone
most want to do? There are some delicious new restaurants like
Roundup Rodeo BBQ which recently opened at
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Summer House on the Lake which should be opening later in 2023 in
Disney Springs. There's also the brand-new rollercoaster
TRON Lightcycle / Run Presented by Enterprise that just opened in
Magic Kingdom Park and
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana which should be opening in late 2023 in
EPCOT.
Danielle, I hope you have a wonderful vacation when it comes around! If you have any other questions in the future, please feel free to
reach out again. We are always happy to help!
