When would I be able to start planning and booking a trip staying at a Disneyland resort for 2026?

    Hi Lauren,

Welcome back to planDisney! Thank you for continuing to trust us with your Disney vacation planning questions. I completely understand the excitement (and the need!) to start planning your next trip—honestly, the first thing I do after returning from any Disney vacation is start planning the next one!

You can absolutely begin dreaming about your 2026 Disneyland vacation now. I recommend using the 2025 events calendar as a guide to estimate what might be happening around your preferred travel dates. The 70th anniversary celebration will resume after the holidays, making it a fantastic time to visit. Even better? Pair your trip with one of the incredible festivals at Disney California Adventure! Personally, I adore the Lunar New Year Festival for its vibrant cultural celebration, but the Food & Wine Festival is the biggest of them all—packed with delicious bites and sips for every palate.

While we haven’t heard an official release date for 2026 vacation bookings just yet, we can look to previous years for clues. Historically, Disneyland vacation packages and hotel reservations for the following year have been released in late May or early June, so that announcement may be just around the river bend! Keep a close eye on the Disney Parks Blog for all the latest updates, including booking windows, anniversary celebration details, and magical new offerings coming to the Disneyland Resort.

I hope this helps with your planning, Lauren! If you have any more questions or need extra tips as you start preparing, don’t hesitate to reach out to me or any of my fellow planDisney panelists. We’re always here to sprinkle a little extra pixie dust on your Disney dreams.

    Happy planning!
