Bright suns, Erika! I can tell the Force is strong with you! Just minutes ago, I sent my friend,
Melissa, a joke about Stormtroopers being iPhone users because they could not find the droids they were looking for.
Melissa and I have made many trips to
Walt Disney World together as we are both
runDisney enthusiasts and find every opportunity to enjoy time together at the Most Magical Place on Earth. I am an iPhone girl, and she is the one who always changes our group chats to green. Other than her cell phone choice, she is perfection, and our trips together give me the experience to confidently say, "Yes! Yes, you can transfer a theme park ticket to an Android user."
The first step is to make sure you are connected as "
Family & Friends." If you are not connected, select "+ Add a Guest" and find your friend with their name and e-mail address. Once they check their email and accept the request, you should be able to see their profile in your list.
To transfer a ticket, go to "
My Plans," scroll to "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets," and select the "Tickets, Passes & Memory Maker" tab. Find the ticket you want to share and look for a box to the right that says "Reassign Tickets." You should be able to select your friend's profile from the drop-down list.
You can also do this on your iPhone (or Android) on the
My Disney Experience app. Open the main menu (the "≡" at the bottom of the screen), and you can add people to your "Family & Friends" list by scrolling to "Account" and selecting "Profile." You can find the option to reassign tickets under the "My Tickets & Passes" tile at the top of the main menu screen.
Erika, I hope this helps. I'm not one to tell you the odds, but if you have any issues, it should not be because your friend has a different cell phone. You can
call Website Support and ask a Cast Member for assistance.
If you have any other questions, please speed back by
planDisney. We're here for all the datapads and the rebels who use them.
May the Force Be With You!
