Hi Judith,
Welcome to planDisney!
I am delighted to see you planning a trip to the Walt Disney World® Resort! It sounds like you may be using a
Special Offer in the search process. Sometimes Special Offers have a requirement for a minimum number of nights or there may be another requirement that is affecting availability. So, if you have not yet done so, go back in to search again and make sure you are only searching for a standard
vacation package. If you are still unable to book for five days, try
calling to speak with a cast member. They can see the details of your MyDisney Account and provide tailored support in the booking process.
As you continue to plan, remember to do some price comparisons with a few
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. We have a few favorite hotels and love them for different reasons, so I always do the price comparison, we consider the amenities, and then prioritize the list. Transportation options are really what drive our decision on resort hotel. We love resort hotels with multiple transportation options or that are within walking distance to one or more theme parks.
Keep in mind also that if you book seven days together, you will have to add a
Disney Dining Plan for the length of stay. If you do a split stay, for example, a five day reservation combined with a two day reservation, you could add a Disney Dining Plan for the five-day stay but would not have to add it for the two-day stay. From time to time we do a split stay to experience different resorts on the same visit.
Judith, I hope this helps! As it gets closer to the dates of your visit, remember to check the
park hours. Be sure to plan your park days in ways that maximize your time in the parks. If you are staying at a deluxe, deluxe villa, or other select resort hotel, remember to take advantage of
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours if those are available during your visit. In the meantime, keep up the
practically perfect planning!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
