Are we able to screen shot tickets from the Disney App and send them via text message to the person we bought the ticket for?

Hey there, hi there Jeremy! Welcome to planDisney, the best place to get your Disneyland Resort questions answered. We are real Guests ourselves and love helping other Guests with their planning questions. Thank you for stopping by. It looks like your visit is just around the corner, and I bet your excitement is growing.

The quick answer is yes, you can take a screenshot of a ticket and send it to the recipient. However, linking tickets directly to the Disneyland Mobile App is the easier and more magical option. It gives each person quick access for park entry, Lightning Lane selections, and Lightning Lane redemption. Adding the tickets to the app is easy and can be done using the screenshot you send. The first step is to make sure everyone has the app downloaded and is logged in with their own Disney Account. From the home screen, tap the three line menu at the bottom right. Select My Tickets and Passes, tap the blue plus sign, and choose Link Tickets and Passes. Each person can scan the screenshot, tap with another device, or manually enter the ticket ID. Once they scan into the theme park for the first time, a photo will be taken and the ticket becomes officially linked to the correct Guest.

I see you will be visiting in mid-March. The Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival returns on March 6, 2026, and it is always a culinary celebration worth exploring. The Sip and Savor Pass is a great way to sample new flavors and discover a few delicious surprises along the way. Even more exciting, Soarin’ Over California is back for a limited time! This original opening day Attraction is such a nostalgic treat, especially since Soarin’ Around the World is now the permanent version. Keep an eye out for a tiny hidden Mickey during the Palm Springs golf scene. I was born in California and grew up there, and I cannot wait to experience this classic again!

Jeremy, I hope this helps you get everyone settled with their tickets and ready for the magic that awaits. If you have any more questions as your visit gets closer, we are always here to help.
