Hi there, Douglas, and welcome to planDisney! It looks like your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth is coming up super quickly, and you must be over the moon! Here's hoping you're already all packed up, and just putting the finishing touches on your big plans!
It sounds like you have a scooter that you're bringing with you to your Walt Disney World Resort Hotel. Happily, Walt Disney World Resort is one of the most accessible and
accommodating places you'll find. If you're planning on taking a bus to the parks, you'll be able to wheel right on. You'll wait for the bus in the designated area at your Disney Resort Hotel stop, and when the bus arrives, the driver will adjust the height of the bus and help you get situated. Safety is the driver's top priority, and they're specially trained on how to help you stay safe as you enter and exit the bus, as well as during the ride. Complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World Resort is one of my favorite features of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel!
If you find that you need to
rent an ECV or wheelchair while you're on your vacation, Walt Disney World Resort is able to help with that, as well! Walt Disney World Resort does offer
services for guests with mobility disabilities, so if you need to, feel free to check that out before you arrive.
Douglas, did you know that you'll be arriving just in time for the beginning of the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival? It's a celebration of all things springtime! You'll find exciting food and beverage options at outdoor kitchens, fun evening concerts, and beautiful additions to the landscaping, like the topiaries shaped like Disney Characters! It's a feast for all the senses!
I hope you have the very best time during your upcoming vacation. Please stop back by planDisney with any other vacation planning questions you have as the big day approaches!
See you real soon!
Jennifer
