Am I able to run for a local charity not on the RunDisney list?

    Hi Randi, welcome to planDisney!

I want to commend you for your desire to participate in a runDisney event on behalf of a charity. runDisney partners with various charity organizations for each race weekend, which means the charity can offer race registrations in exchange for a fundraising commitment from the participant. Each charity has a limited number of registrations for each event, and the charities offering bibs can differ for each event weekend throughout the race season.

I’m not sure which race weekend you’re planning to participate in, but you can see the list of charities on the runDisney website under “Charities & Travel Providers.” Make sure you select the race weekend you’re interested in from the drop-down menu. Some charities even have bibs available for the Disneyland Halloween Half Marathon in September 2025. As I stated earlier, these bibs come with a fundraising commitment that can vary for each charity, so I recommend finding that information and the fundraising deadlines before you sign up.

In my opinion, it can be helpful to find a charity organization that you connect with. If there is a cause that is important to you, it might give you the extra push to find ways to raise the funds to meet your goals, and even more motivation when you’re completing the miles during your race!

Good luck with your runDisney goals, Randi. If you have any more questions, we’d love to help you again at planDisney!
