Welcome to planDisney, Katina. Thanks for swinging by with your question for us.
I see you’ve heard the great news! After being closed for over a year due to the pandemic, Disney Management recently announced that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park will officially reopen on April 30, 2021. It’s been so long since we were able to stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. or confront inconceivable dangers on
Indiana Jones™ Adventure.
Right now, unfortunately Katina, ticket sales are currently paused until further notice. Even though not much information has been released by Disney Management yet, we do know that park attendance will be managed through a new theme park reservation system. When Disneyland Resort theme parks reopen in late April, there will be some new changes in place for the health and safety of all Guests and Cast Members. In order to enter a park, Guests will need both a valid park admission and a theme park reservation for the same park on the same day. While we don’t have all the details, I speculate it will be similar to the current
Disney Park Pass reservation system that has been in place at
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida since last summer. Moreover, to be compliant with current guidance from the State of California, only California residents are allowed to experience the theme parks during the initial phased reopening.
To stay up-to-date with the latest park news, I recommend checking out
Disneyland.com and
Disney Parks Blog occasionally so you don’t miss a thing! You can also follow
Disney’s social media accounts too! I have a hunch new ticket sales and park reservations will be quickly snatched up by Guests eager to “
Return to the Land of Magic”!
I hope you’ll come back to visit us on
planDisney for more tips and advice when we hear announcements regarding reopening guidelines for the Disneyland Resort theme parks and hotels. Please don’t hesitate to send us more questions. We’re all EARS to help you plan your next trip to the “Happiest Place on Earth”!
