Hi there, Barbara! Welcome to
planDisney!
The
Wild Africa Trek at
Disney's Animal Kingdom is an incredible adventure! It's a fantastic idea to give yourself ample time to check in and get fitted with your harness for the three-hour tour, so arriving early will ensure you’re all set and suitably attired for this epic trek!
When you arrive at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, chat with a friendly Cast Member and have your booking confirmation ready to show on your My Disney Experience app. They should direct you to an early-access entrance or perhaps escort you to the check-in desk near Kilimanjaro Safaris. Rest assured, the Cast Members know that many tours begin around park opening, and they always do their best to ensure everyone is in place before the trek begins!
My fellow planDisney panelists,
Jenna and Donyell, recently enjoyed the Wild Africa Trek. You may like to watch for some tips. Closed-toe shoes and long trousers are highly recommended, as you'll trek through rugged terrain. You’re in for some unique encounters, fascinating facts from the Cast Members, and a tasty African-inspired snack at the Boma during the tour.
Once your Wild Africa Trek is done, you’ll still have plenty of time to enjoy the rest of Disney's Animal Kingdom Park! If you’re up for a full day of adventure, I highly recommend trekking through
Pandora - The World of Avatar after dark. The glowing bioluminescent scenery is stunning and a perfect way to end your day.
I hope this information helps, Barbara! Have an unforgettable time on your trek and enjoy every moment at Disney’s Animal Kingdom!
Wishing you a wild adventure,
Louise
