Hi, Michelle! Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Floridian!
You're less than a week away from the magic! How exciting is that? Any chance I get to spend some time at the
Walt Disney World Resort during the holidays, I'm definitely taking it!
I totally get why you'd be interested in skipping the Guest Relations windows and heading straight for the tapstiles to get into the
Magic Kingdom Park that much sooner. Who wants to wait for the fun to begin? There is a way to create a digital ticket that you can save to your phone's electronic wallet, and I'll walk through those steps with you right here. Before we get into that, though, it's important to note that if you're using
Florida Resident Tickets, you'll still need to visit Guest Relations to show your
proof of Florida residency before the tickets can be activated. If your schedule allows, you can save yourself some precious park time by making a quick trip to the
Disney Ticket Center at Disney Springs the day
before you plan to hit the parks. Cast Members there can take care of all the pre-park prep for you, so all you have to do when you get to the Magic Kingdom Park is tap and go!
If you still need to link your tickets to your My Disney Experience account, you can learn how to do that on the
Link Your Reservations & Purchases page on the Walt Disney World website.
Okay, to scan your tickets right from your phone using
Disney MagicMobile service, open up the
My Disney Experience mobile app and follow these steps:
- Click on the three horizontal lines in the bottom right of your screen.
- On the next page, click on the "Disney MagicMobile" tile (you may need to sign in again).
- Follow the prompts to create your digital pass and select a design for each member of your party.
- Click the button at the bottom when prompted to add the pass to your electronic wallet.
Once you've completed the steps, you should see your pass (or passes) in your wallet. Then, when you arrive at the theme parks, you can simply hold your phone up to the tapstile to enter. If you've saved multiple Guests' passes on the same device, you'll call them all up and swipe to scan each one individually. And you're in!
I hope this helps you have a jolly holiday visit to the Walt Disney World Resort, Michelle! Thank you so much for stopping by, and we'll see ya again real soon!
Keep Disney Dreaming,
Kathy K.
