David from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

Will I be able to make a reservation for Thanksgiving at Storytellers Cafe online tomorrow, or will the schedule release be delayed?

    Hi David!

Welcome to planDisney! Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are always extra magical, and a popular time to visit. I'm glad you are putting your plans in place early! I have spent Thanksgiving with my family in the parks, and it was such a fun way to kick off the holiday season. We loved watching A Christmas Fantasy Parade, waving to Santa, and seeing all the festive decor and characters in their holiday best! Of course, eating the seasonal treats was a bonus!

Taking a quick peek, it looks like Storytellers Cafe opened reservations for November 27th and is already booked. Eek - it's a popular spot, and I know that was not the news you were hoping to hear! I would recommend that you continue to check for reservations. Guests are always changing their plans, and reservations can sometimes open up, especially as you get closer to the day. That being said, if you are looking for another character dining experience, Goofy's Kitchen is opening up reservations for a Thanksgiving Day buffet brunch and dinner on October 9, 2025, so mark your calendar! What's great about Goofy's Kitchen is that it is located at the Disneyland Hotel, so you can enjoy your meal whether or not you have theme park tickets for the day. You will get to dine amongst Goofy and some of your favorite pals. While it's a rotating cast of characters, I have dined here many times and run into Pluto, Minnie, Chip, and Dale, and more!

While you are making your plans for the day, you'll want to keep your eyes peeled for the Entertainment Schedule, which is released about six weeks ahead of time. This is where you will find the performance times for parades, daytime entertainment, and nighttime spectaculars. I like to start here when I begin mapping out our plans as it helps structure the day. I usually have each family member choose one must-do, whether it's a show, dining experience, or an attraction. It helps to set our priorities...and, of course, leaves some time for magic!

David, I'll wish upon a star that you are dining in Disney magic this Thanksgiving. If you need any more tips as you approach your trip, we are always here for you at planDisney.

    See ya real soon!
