Are you able to rent a tent at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort?

Hello, Megan! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for coming to see us here at planDisney! I’m pleased to hear that you’re planning to venture into the wilderness with a stay at The Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort! You must be so excited! What could be better than the combination of Disney magic by day followed by campfires and s’mores by night?

I was able to do some research into your question and was told that you can definitely rent tents for use during your stay! Once you have made your reservation for a campsite, contact Walt Disney Group Camping at (407) 939-7807, option 4. I spoke with an incredibly friendly Cast Member today who let me know that the tents are 12 feet by 9 feet and can be reserved through the end of 2022! They are first-come, first-serve, so make your reservations early! The cost for the tent is $40/night plus tax, and it can sleep up to 8 people. If you wish to rent cots, this is also an option, though each rental tent fits a maximum of four cots, and these cost $5/night. Otherwise, you can bring a tent along or even buy a tent locally on your way into Walt Disney World from the airport as an alternative option!

Megan, I hope that this information helps you continue to plan your amazing woodland getaway! To reserve more activities while staying at the campsites, such as archery, horseback riding, and so much more, call 407-WDW-PLAY! Once again, reservations are highly recommended.

Please know that we are here for you during every phase of your planning, so do not hesitate to come back and see us again soon!

    Sweet dreams!
