Hi Alyssa, and welcome to planDisney!
You are going to love your stay at Disney’s
All-Star Movies Resort. My family had so much fun walking through our favorite Disney movies and seeing larger-than-life icons throughout the resort. And those newly renovated rooms – wowza!
Unfortunately, rollaway beds are not available at All-Star Movies Resort. This is for safety reasons, as the layout of the room does not allow a cot to be placed in a location that would not block the exit or make it difficult to exit in case of an emergency.
My children prefer not to share a bed, so we try to reserve rooms at resorts that accommodate a fifth sleeper.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is a great option, with really great dining and one of the most fun pools at any Disney resort hotel (in my humble opinion). Some of the deluxe resorts, such as
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, also offer sofa beds. Another option might be the
Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, which sleep 6 and offer a small kitchenette. Those would give you more room to spread out.
Alyssa, as far as I’m concerned you cannot go wrong with any of the
Disney Resorts Collection hotels. If you can accommodate your party without a cot, and want to stick to your budget, you’re already in a great resort hotel. We’re as exhausted as Princess Aurora at the end of our Disney days, so rarely have issues with sharing a bed on our Disney vacations. In fact, I stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort with four adult friends, and my friend and I slept like a dream in our Queen bed there (and those rooms are almost identical to the rooms at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort). If you do need to accommodate 5 people, you have lots of great options – just filter your search on the “
Places to Stay” tab for your party size and explore your choices.
Have a blast on your
summer vacation! My family is also heading to Florida to celebrate summer, and I am dreaming about Mickey-shaped ice cream treats, refreshing DOLE Whips, and feeling the wind in my hair on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Cheers to gorgeous Florida sunsets on summer evenings!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
