    Am I able to purchase/renew a magic key with only gift cards? The most I am able to load into a single gift card is $1000 and the cost of a magic key is $1649. I also did not see a way to use multiple gift cards at check out

    Welcome to planDisney! There’s less than one day until Magic Keys go on sale and Magic Key holders can renew or upgrade their Magic Keys! If the excitement gets to be too much, just remember Peter Pan’s famous mantra - “Think of the happiest things. It’s the same as having wings!”

    I’m so happy you have purchased a Disney Gift Card to apply toward the purchase of a Magic Key tomorrow, January 10, 2024. The Magic Key Buying Guide states that guests can use a Disney Gift Card towards the purchase of a Magic Key. However, as you know, a Disney Gift Card can only hold up to $1000, and only one Disney Gift Card can be used towards the purchase of a Magic Key. Here are the criteria for Disney Gift Cards and Magic Keys:

    1.  Only one Disney Gift Card can be used towards the purchase of a Magic Key.
    2.  A Disney Gift Card can only be applied when making a payment in full for a new Magic Key (it cannot be used for monthly payments).
    3.  Disney Gift Cards cannot pay for Magic Key renewals - only for purchasing new Magic Keys.

    Regarding the remaining balance on your Magic Key, you can update your payment information in your Disney account before joining the waiting room tomorrow. The Magic Key Buying Guide has some great information on how to prepare for the Magic Key sale tomorrow, so read through the guide to be best prepared for the Magic Key sale. 

    All you need is faith, trust, and a little pixie dust!
