Hi Stavroula,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question!
Guests must
add a Travel Protection Plan to their package reservation and pay the plan cost amount prior to final payment of the package. So you’d need to add this insurance before paying making the final payment on your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation reservation, which means that you can add it after making your deposit.
That being said, because I think you’re from Canada, I took a quick look at the
Description of coverage that is provided to Walt Disney World Resort Guests and it seems as though coverage is unfortunately no longer available to non-U.S. residents. If you’d like to verify that information, please contact Walt Disney World Resort. They’ll be happy to give you all information about your options.
Tip from a fellow Canadian: We’ve actually purchased “yearly” travel insurance from another provider. Although it’s more expensive, it allows all of our vacations within a given year to be covered (up to a certain amount and duration). I highly recommend you check out your options online and even discuss your options with an insurance advisor, if you have one. And please remember that not every travel-related hiccup is covered by an insurance policy, so be sure to pick the one that fits the best with you and your family’s travel habits and lifestyle.
Have a Magical Day,
Lynne
