Hi Nicole! We are so glad you brought your question to us at planDisney.
As Guests, just like you, we are navigating updated
policies for the
Disneyland Resort during these unprecedented times and understand there can some bumps on the way to Main Street, U.S.A. For me, it sometimes helps to remind myself that Disneyland Resort's health and safety protocols are in place to ensure the best possible experience for my family, my fellow Guests and the Cast Members. It sounds like you are aware that all Guests will need both a valid theme park ticket as well as a
theme park reservation to enter Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park. This is your first step to a successful Disney day so it's great that you are already a step ahead! The reservation system is an effort to keep attendance levels in check. While I wish I could just sprinkle a little pixie dust and open up that
reservation calendar for you, I do know that guests are constantly modifying their plans and spots can open up! Reservations can be canceled up until 11:59 p.m. PST the night before arrival, and I know some friends have found success checking the calendar in the last few hours of the day. Sometimes all it takes is a little faith and trust!
While I know you may have your heart set on a specific date for those Disneyland Resort adventures, if you find yourself unable to make a reservation, your ticket is valid up through its expiration date. The expiration date can be found in "Tickets and Passes" in the
Disneyland Mobile App - it should be just below your bar code. If you have single-day tickets, you are able to reschedule to a date that is of the same pricing tier or lower. You could also explore upgrading your ticket if you choose a date that is a higher tier by contacting
Guest Services.
The beauty of the Disneyland Resort is that there is always something exciting just on the horizon and there are so many pixie-dusted experiences coming in 2022. This spring will see the grand return of Fantasmic!, World of Color and the Main Street Electrical Parade, which will be celebrating its 50th anniversary! I can remember watching the parade from my youngest days and now seeing my own kiddos light up as it marches by is its own special kind of magic. If you are looking to travel in the next few months, Disney California Adventure Park is bringing back both the
Lunar New Year celebration and
Food & Wine Festival. The food offerings alone are enough to make me hop a plane from Philly just thinking about them!
Nicole, I do hope you find your way to the Happiest Place on Earth very soon. If you need any other assistance in planning, please feel free to reach out to us again at
planDisney!
Keep wishing on those stars,
Tara
