Welcome to planDisney, Rick!
Thanks for stopping by with a question about your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation. As the only person in my family who has had to purchase an empty large suitcase at
Disney’s Art of Animation Resort after going a little too crazy with
merchandise purchases at Walt Disney World, I feel that I might be the perfect person to answer this question for you. There’s always fun merchandise to shop for in the Disney theme parks and at
Disney Springs – it’s really hard not to come home with new stuff! Unfortunately, resort merchandise delivery is no longer offered at Walt Disney World. However, don’t worry! I have a few other options that might work for you.
If you’d like to purchase items throughout your park day and avoid carrying them, consider
renting a locker. Lockers are located at the front of each park near the entrance and are a convenient way to store your wares until it's time for you to head back to your resort. Guests can also ship some or all of their purchases home from select Disney Parks retailers. So, if a rather large
Spaceship Earth cookie jar happens to catch your eye at
Creations Shop in EPCOT, you can ask a cast member at the register if you can ship it to your home for a fee. This may or may not have happened in real life, Rick. I'm hoping this is a judgment-free zone.
If you do decide to ship items home, you can do so throughout your visit or all at the end at your
Disney Resorts Collection hotel. Keep your receipts! Cast members will verify your purchases with them and have you complete a shipping form. They’ll walk you through the process and you’ll send your packages off on the journey home.
I hope this was helpful, Rick. If you have any additional questions about your visit, please stop by and see us again here at planDisney. Until then, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
