Hi Mary,
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks so much for stopping by to ask us your question.
A multi-generational visit to the most magical place on earth is near and dear to my heart. It was my sweet grandmother who ignited my passion for Disney, and it was with her that I experienced it all for the first time. Those memories live in my heart always and are there with me every time I go back!
Now, let’s dive into your question! Mary, the
Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket is a special offer reserved exclusively for Florida residents. Each guest using this ticket type must be a Florida resident and will need to
show valid proof of Florida residency when the ticket is activated and again when entering the theme parks. If your grandkids are not Florida residents, they would need to use a standard theme park ticket instead.
The good news is that you can absolutely mix ticket types within the same party. Many families do this when traveling together, so you could use a Florida Resident ticket for yourself while purchasing standard tickets for your grandkids, and you’ll still be able to enter the parks, make plans, and enjoy the experience together without any issues.
Now that we've got that sorted out, here are some pro-tips for visiting the Magic with older teens: If you’re all big thrill seekers, at the top of my list are
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and
TRON Lightcycle / Run. Both of these attractions are huge hits with that age group, and they’re also incredibly fun to experience together. If you’re looking for something a little more relaxed, exploring EPCOT’s World Showcase, riding attractions like
Test Track, or even resort-hopping on a non-park evening can be a great way to make memories without feeling rushed!
If you’d like help choosing the best ticket options or planning activities that everyone, especially your teens, will love, we’re always here and happy to help. I hope you have an absolutely magical trip with your grands, making those memories that will last forever!!
See ya real soon,
Emille
