Hello, Kathleen!
Welcome back to planDisney! I am so excited to hear that your adventure to join the
Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration. There are so many new experiences created specifically for the celebration. My favorite is
Disney’s Fab 50 Character Collection. You will find 50 golden statues that pay tribute to the most-loved Disney Characters across all 4 theme parks. These sculptures are ready to pose for a selfie with you and they will even interact with the new
MagicBand+, debuting soon.
Minnie Vans are my favorite mode of Disney Transportation. I am so excited to see them return to service later this month. These vehicles are ready to whisk you away in stylish fashion around the Walt Disney World Resort to your destination. Whether you are traveling from your Disney Resorts Collection Hotel to a Disney Theme Park, you will feel like a VIP when you rock those dots as you arrive at special drop-off locations designated only for occupants of Minnie Vans.
There is no pre-registration necessary, just download the Lyft app and look for the Minnie Van option that suits your needs. If you are traveling with someone who needs a wheelchair or ECV-accessible vehicle, you no longer need to call ahead to reserve an accessible vehicle. Minnie Vans are available for transport to all Disney Theme Parks, water parks, Disney Springs and the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, and
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels. At this time Minnie Van service is unavailable at Good Neighbor Hotels, Walt Disney World Swan, Dolphin, or Shades of Green.
Fees will vary based on your pick-up location to your requested destination. You can pay conveniently within the Lyft app for your transport. Minnie Vans can accommodate Guest families of up to 6 passengers with 2 car seats for your little Mouseketeers. This service is available from 6:30 AM to 12:30 AM daily.
See ya real soon,
Andrea
