Am I able to order desserts from the Tiffins restaurant menu when eating at the Nomad Lounge?

Jambo, Tara! That’s the way they say hello at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and it’s my way of welcoming you back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It’s nice to hear from you again.

I’m not going to lie: I saw your question and the first thing I did was text my husband to say “let’s get cocktails and truffle poutine at Nomad Lounge when we go to Disney in a few weeks.” Not only is Nomad Lounge absolutely stunning, but it is a wonderful place to take a break and enjoy delicious food and drink. You’re making a great choice!

Tara, there isn’t an easy answer to your question. There are many lounges at the Walt Disney World Resort that share kitchens and bars with neighboring restaurants, and it’s been my experience that being able to order the restaurant’s menu items while dining in its lounge is not always allowed, but is sometimes possible. It really depends on how busy the lounge and restaurant are that day and the discretion of your server and the kitchen. My best advice to you is to inquire when you arrive at Nomad Lounge and see what’s possible.

If you’re not able to order a dessert from the Tiffins menu, your sweet tooth might love the churros on Nomad Lounge’s menu. They come with vanilla crema and chili-strawberry, and I’ve heard they’re delicious. There are also several sweet cocktails on the menu; I’m a big fan of the Leaping Lizard, which has a base of orange, passion fruit, and mango. So yummy!

Since we’re talking dessert, I have to encourage you to try one of my favorite treats anywhere at the Walt Disney World Resort. As you cross the bridge from Nomad Lounge and enter the ethereal beauty of Pandora – The World of Avatar, make sure to visit Pongu Pongu. This lovely little stand sells the Pongu Lumpia, which is a kind of spring roll (it’s more of a pastry to me) that is filled with pineapple and cream cheese. It’s just delicious!

Tara, I hope you enjoy all of these bites and sips on your vacation! Please come back and see us if you have any more questions as you plan and dream.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
