Welcome to planDisney, Michelle! I'm happy to help you make some magic on your upcoming
Disneyland Resort vacation!
As a teacher who works with students of all different abilities and needs, it's important to me that options are available for
all aspects of their lives. And that's why I love working with Disney.
They have made a commitment to be welcoming, inclusive, and accessible for all, including their theme parks. The world is better when we are more understanding, patient, and kind. And I love that they
offer options for those that need it.
The
Disability Access Service (or DAS for short) is available for Eligible Guests. You can
pre-register for
DAS Advance virtually with a Cast Member as soon as 30 days before your visit. While you can meet virtually with a Cast Member up until 2 days before your arrival or you can register in person at
City Hall, the Chamber of Commerce, or a Guest Information location when you visit, it is
highly recommended that you do it as soon as possible. This is because Eligible Guests can book up to 2 one-hour return windows for
select experiences, which are subject to availability.
In addition to the 2 one-hour return windows that you are usually able to book in advance, you can request your first return time upon entering a park. You can then continue to make reservations, subject to availability, one at a time for the rest of the day. Please note that the return time will be comparable to the current standby wait, but you won't have to wait in a long line for that time. Instead, you can
shop,
snack, or take your time and enjoy the details of the parks.
Michelle, I hope that you and your child have a great time at the resort. It's bound to be a special experience. If you have any other questions,
please reach out to me. I'm happy to help!
Inclusion is for everyone,
Matt
