    Hi Mom's! How will we be able to see the new River of Lights show at the Animal Kingdom park? I understand that it will be a night show, but the park closes before dark?

    Hello, Michael!

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I thank you for sending us your wonderful question about “Rivers of Light” Nighttime Spectacular at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.

    Disney’s Animal Kingdom is already my favorite Walt Disney World Resort theme park, but knowing that “Rivers of Light” Nighttime Spectacular is set to begin soon has pushed this theme park to a whole other  dimension for me! I am so excited about all of the new things coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom as I’m sure you are as well.

    While we still don’t have an exact schedule and/or time for the “River of Lights” nighttime spectacular, Disney’s Animal Kingdom has already started extending Park hours. Currently, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is remaining open until 8:00 p.m. on select nights. I assume that this is being done in preparation of all of the exciting things coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Rest assured that the Park will remain open as long as there are things to see and do.
