Am I able to use a Mastercard Gift Card to make a payment toward my Disney plans? If so, what is the correct way to fill out the "name on card" section?

Hi, Aislynn! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney! I'm happy to help!

There's nothing I love more than planning a trip to The Most Magical Place on Earth, but paying for it doesn't always feel so magical. Disney accepts many forms of payment, including credit cards, Disney Gift Cards, and Disney Rewards Redemption Cards. Using a non-Disney gift card on the website poses a few challenges, but it might still be possible. First, check to see if you need to register your Mastercard gift card.

If you made a room-only reservation, the balance is due upon check-in, and you'll need to call if you want to make a payment before your arrival. If you have a Disney vacation package booked, the balance is due 30 days before your arrival date, and you can make a payment online. Try putting your name in the 'name on card' part. Be sure to note an amount equal to or less than the balance on the card. If this doesn't work, I have a few suggestions.

You can try to purchase a Disney gift card from a local box store with your Mastercard gift card and then use that to make your payment. I realize this is an extra step that you may not want to do. Another option is to call Walt Disney World Tickets and Hotel Reservations and have a Cast Member help you make a payment. The good news is that if you have any money leftover on your Mastercard gift card, it's good throughout Walt Disney World Resort, wherever Mastercard is accepted, which is most dining, shopping, and hotel locations.

Since you'll be visiting in December, check out this post from Disney Parks Blog to learn about many of the happenings you can expect during that time of year. The special ticketed events are a great addition to your vacation, and the decor is over the top in the best of ways, but it's the holiday-themed treats that I think I'm looking forward to the most! I highly recommend you stop by Disney Springs and check out the Christmas Tree Stroll. I love grabbing a seasonal drink from Joffrey's Coffee & Tea Company and taking in these incredible themes and ornaments.

I hope you found this helpful, Aislynn! And that you have the most magical vacation! If you have additional questions, please come back and see us at planDisney!
